Pre-screening questions are a set of questions you can add to the application form of a job opening. When an applicant fills out their application, they will be asked to answer these questions.
Screening questions can be used to gather some basic information about applicants, such as their expected salary range, their qualifications, or if they have experience using a certain tool.
With JOIN, you can also add knockout screening questions. These questions ask about certain non-negotiable conditions that, if not met, will automatically disqualify the applicant. A (customisable) automated rejection email will be sent to the disqualified applicant.
An example of a knockout question is whether someone has the right to work in the country your office is located. If you have a lot of applications coming from people that are lacking a work permit, you could make this a knockout question to automatically reject those candidates.
To help you pick questions more easily, we’ve added a bunch of common screening questions that you can choose from.
However, you can always edit and customise your screening questions to fit the role you’re hiring for and your specific needs. After all, we understand that you might want to ask your own questions.
